Dressed All Preppy To Make A Day Out At The English National Ballet's Swan Lake

WHAT I WORE, DID & ENJOYED ON A BEAUTIFUL SATURDAY OUT AT THE BALLET
OH, DARLING!
If I could only decide on one character to be for the rest of my life, it would be Odile from Swan Lake. She is the most graceful lady of the swans, and she wins the princes' heart. She overcomes the dark side and finally stays with her prince...
Needless to say, as a professional dancer and ballerina of over 15years now, my heart jumped when I heard my partner scored tickets to the Ballet on the round for the summer version of Swan Lake at The gorgeous grand Royal Albert Hall.
Sadly it wasn't quite the perfect weather as it said on teh forecast, but we did manager to score a few hours here and there of sunlight, galavanting around the V&A, coming across a street festival, crossing the Golden Albert statue across from the theatre.
I then grabbed some clotted cream and an early afternoon tea before strolling along Oxford street, regents street and having a cheeky poke Waterstones' Sales. All before the ballet, quite the lucky ones we were, I'd say... knowing the English weather of late.
I would have sprung out my summer dress if not for the weather forecast being "60% chance of rain..." and having moderate wind.
Some of the outfits I would pick for ballet:

Then we spotted some swans, ducks all coming out to play at Hyde Park, once again scoring some lovely weather before an unexpected shower hit us...AGAIN...
If you didn't already know, you can score some amazing theatre and ballet tickets every morning on the app, or at leicester square itself.
Also be sure to watch out for more of my summer outfits edit, some look books coming out and explorations of more evening /theatre looks.

WHAT TO EXPECT
Expect to be rushing out at every interval to then be queuing long lines for the ladies (or toilets) , try the upstair circles for less of a fight
It will be extremely warm in the theatre, but possibly chilly windy outside (be sure to check your weather forecast, as should every one in England every single day.
Be dressed in layers to truly enjoy the temperature in the theatre, you don't want to be overly bundled up inside and then freezing afterwards, especially if you're headed for an evening show.
For the best experience, be there early and if you're on certain levels, you can preorder your drinks, or at least plan in advance, a certain Rosé tipple in the afternoon at the ballet is strongly encouraged!
Popcorn, crisps(or chips) are also sold, you won't be able to bring in any food , except little granola bars (which I always carry for my gastric) and a water bottle.
Carry light on that day as seats are all pretty tiny and the theatre is likely to be fully packed, leaving no space for much belongings, unless you're going VIP with a box.
Dress up but dress comfortably as the walk to the theatre might not be as comfortable as the walk outside if you intend to make a full day out of it in central london. Stay toasty too, of course!
I highly recommend making a day trip out of it, if you're lucky enough to do a weekend. Get some sunrays(hopefully there is some), some window shopping, enjoy some central london festivities (there is always something in central london, I promise), or just enjoy a lovely walk in Hyde Park or the Museums area where The British History Museum, Victoria & Albert Museum is, or seek some more cheerriness at Covent Garden, home to the musicians, performers and good old English Markets and some branded boutiques.
SWAN LAKE, on-the-round, by The English National Ballet ends soon, be sure to get your tickets for this season!
