From Pride Parade to Eras Tour: Versatile Outfit Ideas for Rocking the Rainbow in London
Pride in pink is my theme of the day as I stroll along with the Pride Parade, celebrating love, diversity, and self-expression in all its colourful glory.
The vibrant streets of London come alive, making it the perfect backdrop for showcasing fabulous outfits that embody the spirit of Pride. And guess what? These same outfits can also shine at the Eras Tour, where rainbow colours, glitter, and a mix of asexual and romantic dresses are all the rage.
A day of colour and all colour is encouraged, so why won't Jassydarling try rainbow? Well, only because I have Asian blood… I tried three beautiful dresses from ZARA that were definitely close finale contenders. My favourite was definitely the one with the paddle pop color scheme, perfect for a day like this.
I especially love this mesh pattern that was so on-trend last year… With summer coming and my pastels resurfacing, these ZARA summer pieces are a must-try (check out my blog on Wimbledon cute outfits, which includes the ZARA summer collection).
I will be sure to add pictures after this, but if you haven’t already seen that there’s a fiasco of fun this weekend all over central London, then you’re missing out! There’s music, dance, and of course, lots of color in a parade-style party along the street all the way from Green Park (near Westminster) to Covent Garden, Leicester Square—where the National Gallery is—and ending at Trafalgar Square.

My first Pride in London proved to be the inclusive day it promised to be! Starting at Green Park, then making my way down, I loved seeing the parade, especially the one themed “LGBT-Kew” with people dressed in flower-shaped head ornaments.
The float parade definitely had some headliners. Tesco showcased their inclusivity on the street for sure! I enjoyed a dance party with some very inclusive and lovely vibes on the street dance floor, followed by a chill day in the John Lewis Café. What better way to kick off the day than with a traditional English afternoon tea and scones (with clotted cream, of course!)?
How to Enjoy a Day Out in Central London While Looking and Feeling Your Best:
- Layer Up: The English weather is notorious for its mood swings. Start with a stylish base layer like a pastel dress from ZARA, and bring along a chic trench coat. Check out my top 5 trench coats here.
- Stay Hydrated: The only day that day drinking is actually encouraged in the church's beautiful courtyards in central London. Be sure to drink responsibly, and I also mean hydrate up!
- Footwear Matters: Comfortable, stylish shoes are a must. Opt for trendy sneakers or cute flats that can handle walking and dancing.
- Accessorize Smartly: Bring a compact umbrella or a wide-brimmed hat to shield yourself from unexpected showers or intense sun.
- Carry a Light Cardigan: For those unpredictable chilly spells, a light cardigan can save the day. Here's my top pick for a summer cover-up here.
Whilst I reminisce about the beautiful Pride Parade day out in Central London, I am constantly reminded of why the English absolutely cannot have a meal or date without moaning about the weather. Today and yesterday, just 12 hours after the beautiful sunny weather we had for PRIDE 2024, England has decided to pull a stunt on all of us, bringing back the cold gloomy non-existent sunny spring-summer we've been having all season...
